Please note: For Ganglia gmetad you will also need the ganglia-web-3.0.5-1.noarch.rpm RPM. You should download it from the official Ganglia web site (or a direct link to the SourceForge.Net repository is here) or alternatively you can also download it from my website here.

To make it as easy as possible to try out these new POWER5/6 metrics on AIX and Linux on POWER I provide binary RPMs (source code and description can be found here) for all possible OS (AIX & Linux) versions.

Please note: These binary RPMs are provided just for convenience reasons, no warranty whatsoever, use at own risk!! If you use these RPMs please drop me a note at michael@perzl.org so I can notify you whenever updates are available. Thanks.

• AIX v4.3.3 (compiled on AIX 4.3.3 ML 11 with GCC V2.9):

• Note: The AIX 4.3.3 RPMs are provided because of some special requests, however, I am not fiddling with gmetad on AIX 4.3.3 anymore, you should really run gmetad on a newer release of AIX!

  Ganglia gmetad has a dependency on RRDTool. In case you are running RHEL 4 or RHEL 5 you need rrdtool RPMs as RHEL 4/5 doesn't include rrdtool. Fortunately the Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux (EPEL) project provides Fedora packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Here is the direct link where you'll find the required rrdtool versions:
