(:title Perl-File-Tail:)

The primary purpose of File::Tail is reading and analysing log files while they are being written, which is especially useful if you are monitoring the logging process with a tool like Tobias Oetiker's MRTG.

The Perl module is available as 32-bit and 64-bit:

  • For the 32-bit module you need to use perl.
  • For the 64-bit module you need to use perl_64bit.
